About The Band

The Feeling Tones formed in 2020 as an escape from a particularly grey and outrageous winter. Armed with a space heater, face masks, reverb, and tape saturation, the band wrote and recorded a double-album’s worth of material over the next two years. Some felt as if they were stuck in a holding pattern at the time, while the band had waters to test. And let’s face it, there wasn’t much else to do. The boys felt that they had a sound there; why not record it?

Seeking refuge in an air raid bunker! Reachable even by foot! Drowning in a sea of spent red wine bottles! Both felt relief and uneasiness. The minimalist approach with a Telecaster (A Great Companion), a sparsely recorded drum kit (The Cadillac), and a pinch of synthesis paved a lane for the songs to flow. The Feeling Tones are, for the most part, R. Barkosky and J. Yanachek.
